Pixel pitch is the distance between LED clusters in millimeters. Halve it and you roughly quadruple the LEDs per square foot, and the invoice follows. A P2.5 wall seen from 10 feet looks the same as a P1.2 wall at about a third of the price.

Brands
Samsung and LG LED
We're a Samsung Authorized Reseller, so read this with that in mind. Samsung's The Wall All-in-One 146" ships factory-assembled and calibrated: $159,999 for the 4K 0.84 mm version and $73,999 for the 2K P1.68 version at DisplayDetails. If a 146-inch preset fits your space, it usually beats a custom build once structure and labor are counted.
LG's MAGNIT micro-LED and dvLED range compete head-to-head at the premium end. Our advice is procedural: bid Samsung, LG and Planar at the same pitch with the same warranty and spares terms, and let the numbers decide. More on LED video walls and brands.
Boards and churches
LED display boards
"LED display board" covers two very different things. Scrolling message boards and scoreboards are small, coarse-pitch, low-cost products. A digital LED board for a lobby, a sanctuary or a store is a video wall, priced per square foot like everything on this site. If you need a ticker strip, a 55-inch commercial LCD with a ticker zone costs $3,450 installed and is usually the smarter buy.

How much does an LED wall cost?
An installed indoor LED wall costs about $500 to $900 per square foot at P3 to P4, $900 to $1,600 at P2.5, $1,500 to $2,500 at P1.5 to P1.9, and $2,500 to $4,000+ at micro pitch, including processing, structure and install. Use the cost calculator for your size. Ranges set October 2, 2026.
What pixel pitch do I need for an LED wall?
Pick the pixel pitch from your closest viewer: the closest comfortable viewing distance in feet is about the pitch in millimeters times 3, so people at 5 to 6 feet need P1.5 to P1.9, at 8 feet P2.5, and at 10 to 13 feet P3 to P4 is plenty. Going finer than the distance needs costs more and nobody standing there can see the difference.
LED vs LCD video wall: which should I buy?
Buy an LCD video wall if the picture is under about 110 to 130 inches diagonal, because a 2×2 of 55-inch panels is about $16,000 to $17,200 all-in, and buy direct-view LED above that size or wherever seams through the picture aren't acceptable. Full comparison.
How long does an LED wall install take?
An all-in-one unit like Samsung's The Wall 146" typically runs 4 to 7 weeks from purchase order to live: 1 to 2 weeks survey and structural review, 2 to 4 weeks for mount fabrication if needed, 1 to 2 days to hang. A custom cabinet wall of similar size takes 4 to 6 days of on-site labor.
What power and structure does it need?
Plan on 30 to 60 watts per square foot, so a 12 × 7 ft wall needs circuits for 2.5 to 5 kW. The wall behind it needs blocking or a structural mount: The Wall 146" alone weighs 353 to 370 lb.
Can an LED wall be curved?
Yes. Custom cabinet walls can be curved, and some brands specialize in columns and ribbons. Curves add engineering and labor, so they're priced after a site survey. All-in-one presets are flat.
How long do LED video walls last?
A quality indoor LED video wall is rated for around 100,000 hours before it fades to half brightness, which is more than 11 years running around the clock, and Samsung rates The Wall at 150,000 hours, with a 3-year commercial warranty on Samsung commercial products. Order 5 to 10% spare modules from the same batch so repairs color-match.
